Open Diary is a subscription site, and continuing to use the site after your free trial period will require a monthly or annual subscription payment. For more information, please see Why do I have to pay for Open Diary?
However, when you first sign up for Open Diary, you have a thirty-day Free trial to try the site out, post entries, leave notes, and make friends. During this time, all diary functionality will work for you, with one exception - you will not be able to post pictures in your entries.
When your free trial expires, you will get a message when you log in, asking if you want to subscribe to Open Diary. If you subscribe, you will continue to have all the Open Diary functionality, plus being able to post pictures.
If you choose not to subscribe, you will continue to have access to your own diary and entries that you have posted - but you will not be able to add new entries or leave notes on other members' diaries.
If you decide to subscribe at some time in the future, full functionality of the site will return, and your diary will still be there for you to use.
