When you are a new member of Open Diary, you have a 30-day free trial to try the site out. After your free trial expires, you will have to subscribe to Open Diary if you wish to keep posting new entries and notes. For more information, please see Why do I have to pay for Open Diary?
Please note that if you do not pay for a subscription, you will still be able to access and read your own diary - you just will not be able to post new entries, or leave notes on other members' entries.
To start your subscription to Open Diary, first go to the Setting page by clicking the gear icon in the toolbar at the top right of any Open Diary page:

On the Settings page, you will see the following menu:

Click on Membership to go to the Membership page. The Membership page shows your current subscription status, what you are currently being billed for, and when that subscription expires:

If you are currently on a free trial, the level will show as Free and billing will show $0.00. To start a new subscription, click the Upgrade Subscription button. The next screen allows you to choose which subscription level you would like, either Monthly or Yearly.

If you don't want to subscribe at this time, just click the Not Now button. Otherwise, select your subscription level by clicking the Select button, and then follow the directions to pay for your subscription by either credit card or PayPal.
Your subscription will be credited to your account immediately.
Please note that subscriptions to Open Diary will auto-renew monthly or yearly, and will continue to auto-renew until you cancel your subscription.
