Invalid Chinese characters

If you are a user who posted on the old OD site prior to 2005, some of your old entries may appear as wrong or garbled text on the new site. This is something that the OD Support staff can fix for you - we have a simple update that will make the text appear correct.

If you are seeing wrong or garbled Chinese text in your diary, please contact Support through the link on any page of the site. They will be able to fix your diary so it is legible again.

If you are posting new entries on Open Diary in Chinese language, they will appear and save correctly - the new Open Diary system handles Chinese text in the correct way.
